A comfortable oasis in Salvador. High ceilings and cool stone floors. Spacious rooms, two with expansive terraces (only 8 rooms in this entire building!). Air-conditioning (ceiling fans also, should one wish to leave the windows open) and wireless broadband (no charge, of course!). King and queen-size mattresses with fine linen bedding. A Big Brazilian Breakfast based in tropical fruits and juices, served until a very civilized 11 a.m. (no charge, of course!). And our English reticency will certainly not allow us to brag that Monty Python's (and now Palin's Travels) Michael Palin stayed here with us recently.
